Gardener/Tree Surgeon urgently required

Our 30 foot fir tree fell over in the heavy winds last Friday, and now it's residing in the next 2 gardens!

Several of our neighbours have expressed an interest in the wood, but we need a gardener or tree specialist to come and chop it up for us, and help remove the greenery. As it's across other people's gardens, we need someone who knows what they're doing with a chainsaw so they don't do any more damage.

We'll then need someone to replace a number of broken fence panels, but I expect that's a different job.

PM me if interested in the work, which obviously we'd like to get done as soon as possible. We're on Upland Road.

Thanks

    • Typically the way 'family run businesses' operate is either to have family members continue the business, or to sell on, either as a site (in this instance) or as a going concern. Either which way this is the way the owners create a 'pension' from the business. The number of suggestions as to alternatives makes me feel that the market for small repairing garages locally may be well served, so selling on the site makes the best financial sense for the owners. It's a sign not of the times but of normal business realities.
    • I agree it's a shame, but it is not a "sign of the times", unless you think that up to now people have never grown older and retired!
