You can edit the title and content of a post by looking at the options at the bottom underneat the words - the last option on the right should say "edit post" if you are logged in. You can't delete a post - only Admin can do that. The convention is to edit by deleting all the text (title and content) and replacing with a full stop, then saving, if you want to remove what you said from view. Hope this helps.

It's a lot more helpful to readers to simply supplement the title of the opening thread by adding such as "sold" or "found". If you routinely delete the content of posts you also run the risk of people wondering what you are trying to hide and why. It's probably best reserved for those occasions when, very soon after posting, you realise that your post would have been better left unsaid.

    • Just saw on the bbc london news at 6.30 tonight, that there is a Christmas tree rental scheme in the Dulwich area where you rent a potted tree and return it after Christmas.  Great idea, anyone know where it is? 
    • The Chadwick Road railway bridge is also sheet ice. Watched 3 hire bike's lose it and come off and one car which ended up on the pavement. The bikes seemed very surprised when it happened although you could see the ice.
