builder wanted for various works to home

we've got a few things that need doing at home - we've got some water damage to our living room ceiling which I think must be coming from the shower room above it - need someone to diagnose and fix that and redo shower room at the same time. Also rebuilding our utility room / lean to and fitting a couple of new doors. We also need some painting doing and tiling and would be ideal if same person / company could organise this too.

Does anyone have any recommendations of a builder or company that could do all of this for us?

thanks

Hi Catgirl,

We had our bathroom stripped out and replaced last summer, and have the same builder coming back to so some other jobs around the house in the next couple of months. We found him through an interior designer that we previously used for major renovations.

Nice guy to deal with, and works to a high standard. Happy for you to pop in and see the work he's done.

His name is Michael (Mick) Bland, and his number 07828 957 313.

Hi, An all round good egg Simon Foster is the guy I always use for this type of work, very knowledgeable, very good workmanship and doesn't mess around. His number is 07799617904. He is currently working in Forest Hill, I'm sure his current client will vouch for him also.

Many thanks,

David.

    • So I've done a little more research into the current use of the word, I hadn't realised it had latterly been used to describe anti Muslim feelings. Still don't like the use of the word. These are horrible times and am fearful for the future.
    • Oh I didn't realised Starmer had used the word. I don't mean they are stirring up division between themselves (ie between Reform and Greens), I mean they are stoking division within communities, and stirring up racial prejudice and religious discrimination. That is sectarianism, in my view.
    • Just to repeat the news I was given – it's not being converted into a pub. As far as I know, there's no intention of dumbing down their restaurant offering.  Although as others have pointed out, Camberwell has two pubs – The Camberwell Arms and now the Michelin-starred Kerfield Arms – with excellent food. The Palmerston used to be the only pub in ED that was of such quality, but sadly no longer IMHO.
    • The country is in a real state.  What worries me about the Greens is encouraging migration and openly offering benefits to all with visas.  Where is the money for that coming from?  As if there is spare money, as if there is growth. Where I their holistic manifesto, ensuring funds are available and this is sustainable, and regulated? Incredibly dangerous and idealistic
