Looking for furniture shop recommendation

Sofa.com

I know its not technically local (they are London based) but we bought lovely sofas and an ottoman from sofa.com.

They have their only showroom by Wandsworth Bridge - I def recommend going there and actually sitting on them pus they have large swatches of all the fabrics so you can cover the sofa you like in thr fabric and get a better idea of what it will be like.

Have a look at the website - you can even get the fabric customised if you want something a bit different.

The delivery men were lovely and they can assemble the sofa at your home if your hallways are to narrow etc. They cleaned up their mess and all the packaging.

I would avoid the soft wool fabrics though as they loose their shape a little.

Plus any place that gives you money for the parking metre and makes you a cuppa is a winner as far as I am concerned!!

Try Loaf? We didn't like anything in the standard places and found 3 or 4 there that I loved. I think they have a few corner sofa models.

They are mostly online but do have a showroom in North London which is worth a visit if you're not sure.

Hello there La_Tange. You need to consider first the space where you?ll be putting the corner sofa. You need to make sure that it will fit perfectly there. In addition, you need to consider the design of the room, so that the sofa will not look out of place. I suggest that you enquire with several retailers. These retailers can recommend a specific home furniture for you so your search will be accomplished easier and faster. I hope this was helpful.

    • I know people won’t have any sympathy but the SEND challenge was brought up when taxing parents who have opted for independent school to meet a child’s SEND needs. Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.
    • I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
    • And they started long before midnight!
