Can we have a like or an agree button?

Genuine question - what would this button do? If I like a post I like it, no need for a button.

I feel it's like an acknowledgement at the time of reading, making a connection without writing back.

i suspect it does have the option, or at the very least a plugin to achieve it.

It probably also has the option to show number of posts etc, avatars, even rankings based upon posting history.

I think it's much the better for not having these things.

The ubiquity of the 'like', and it's throwaway nature has definitely diluted any meaning it might have had.

A post saying 'exactly sir', the slightly annoying '^^^ This' or the timeless 'Wot Keef Said', is surely worth more, a bit of effort, the willingness to go on record.

Otherwise it becomes just another social networking obsession, or popularity contest.

Keep ir clean i say.

Yes I agree with most of the above, leave Facebook out of the forum, it does not need it
