** Northern Soul South London Style **

DOWNTOWN SOULVILLE -- South London's jolliest Northern Soul night returns to its spiritual home, THE OLD NUN'S HEAD on Saturday 10th May.

This is a proper Northern Soul night, with DJs playing super rare Northern Soul on original 45s. No bootlegs, pressings, CDs eugh. And PLENTY of dancing. Despite our chin-stroking these DJs know how to rock it and previous parties have been somewhat legendary. If you haven't been before you are very welcome. Music ranges from Northern Soul oldies to R&B in one direction, and the new funkier '70s sounds in the other.

Entry is free because we would rather you spent your money on the Nun's Head's beautiful beer than on an entrance fee!

Our guest DJs for the May party are the marvellous MARCO SANTUCCI and ADAM TOREL, who is back from Japan for a very brief spell, and we had to grab him. Both have records that will make you salivate. But both also know how to make a room take off. So be prepared. These superstars will be joined by your regular Herberts, JAKE LINGWOOD, JOEL MASLIN [100 Club, Va Va Voom] and OLLIE LAILEY [Crystal Palace Soul].

The details and facebook group are all below.

Flyer is also attached and we recommend you click on it because it's beautiful!

Cheers!

JAKE

    • Well I did say I stand to be corrected! Fair enough, their website only seemed to list three branches. Perhaps it's a franchise model?  It's known as 'agglomeration' in economics Rookie error.
    • I didn't know there was a word for that — thanks!
    • This is just normal business behaviour. That's why there are so many coffee shops in ED and shops selling gifts and interiors stuff, clothes, restaurants.  If there's more than one business of a similar type then it can benefit all of them up to a saturation point and keep up quality. It's all sounding like many think Chango has made a malicious move when it actually sounds like it's owned by one guy who has a good business that has done well.   Anyway this is all great advertising for both empanada places. Very close by is the organic grocer who sells really good value and very tasty samosas and other Indian snacks which are also worth trying.
    • Hello, Does this lovely little panther have a name? & Is he neutered & microchipped?
