Has anyone got any experience of this and tips on how to deal with it? The baby's fine but this is driving me crazy!

Toddler is 3, baby 6 weeks. The poos in pants started about a week ago and seem to be getting progressively more frequent, 3 times today! Have been stoically ignoring it everytime, have bought chocs as bribery if she goes in potty or toilet, been getting her involved with baby more and changing his nappy but to no avail! How long will it last?!

Hi ezma78

Had exactly the same thing at almost the exact same ages (baby now 14 weeks). I tried to ignore it, but decided I needed to try and get it sorted out as soon as possible as it was too much to cope with along with a new baby. I re-instigated a reward chart (we'd used this to good effect when first potty training) and initially had 10 squares which had to be filled with a star - when the 10 were filled my son was allowed to choose a toy as a reward (from a few options - not the entire toy shop!). He did this so quickly that he got his reward within a few days. With the next chart I put 40 squares and that's almost full. He's obviously 'been' well over 40 times since we instigated it, but both he and I/my husband have forgotten to fill in the squares quite a few times and it hasn't bothered my son. He's now taking himself off to the loo when he gets up and has only had a couple of accidents during the day, mainly when he's been mucking about or distracted by something. All seems OK at the moment, so fingers crossed. Maybe a reward chart could be an option for you too?

    • As I understand it, Poundland itself  has been saved (and is reassessing what it sells and its pricing strategy) but nevertheless is getting rid of a quite a few stores, including the ED one. There was a thread on here about it before it opened, and Lordship Lane always seemed to be a very odd choice of location for what used to be called a "pound shop".
    • But without knowing why they were removed, I don't see how we can comment. Does anybody know the reason?  I thought Malumbu's post was useful information, given the subject matter of this thread  I didn't think it was patronising.
    • Milo came home briefly last night but was unsettled and incredibly wary of us. We know he's be staying at other people's homes on and off over the summer, and this is very unsettling to him. If he's coming to yours for food or inviting himself in for the night, please turn him away or put him back out. He has a home, he is loved, and he is well looked after when he is here. He probably goes elsewhere as he not a huge fan of his medications or diet, but he has those for a reason. If he's not here, we can't make sure he stays well or be sure he's safe.
    • I would 100% recommend Silvano for anyone looking to learn to drive for the first time or refresh their skills. I took lessons with him after not driving for over a decade and Silvano got me back to driving confidently much more quickly than I thought possible. He’s super friendly and a great & patient teacher. Couldn’t recommend him more!
