Hi

I can't seem to get hold of a set of back wheels for the old bee model, they've stopped making them it seems...grrr! So our Bee will be going to Bugaboo heaven, so sad as I have loved the bee, but with a one year old I don't want to fork out on a new one and wondered what other good alternatives there are out there. We do A LOT of walking & public transport so it needs to be quite sturdy but I want something light too, that doesn't cost the earth, is this even possible?! I was thinking a Maclaren might do the job but not sure which model etc?

Thanks

Hi

Was in a similar position to you last year - but then I discovered the Baby Jogger City Mini and I'm completely in love! I wish I'd bought it from birth - it's light but sturdy, easy to manoeuvre and has a ridiculously quick and easy fold. Plus it looks comfortable for my daughter and has a great sun shade on it.

Hi

We're in the same situation as you, with a one year old and an older bugaboo with rubbish rear wheels! According to this https://www.facebook.com/BugabooRepairGuy you can put the bugaboo bee plus rear wheels on an old bugaboo. We haven't got round to ordering any or trying it yet, but it might be worth a try if you're less lazy than us?!

I also do loads of walking and use public transport regularly. We replaced our Bee with a Maclaren Quest. It's not as nice to push as the Bee and harder to steer 1 handed but my son sleeps well in it and it is very lightweight and narrow so perfect for buses/trains/lugging up steps.
