Help with HTML and PhP wanted

I have a student staying with me who is struggling to get an HTML web page he has created working with the MySQL database he has created for his final project. He has created the database, and built the HTML form and has designed what he wants to happen on each button press, radio button selection, dropdown selection but doesn't know how to pass data from the form to the database using php. Can anyone provide a 2-3 hour tutorial for which I can pay a small fee?

Hi BoyznDogs..

You can find a full set of Tutorials here. For HTML / PHP/ MySQL

How to Open / Connect / Write to / Read from your Database

Website http://www.w3schools.com/

Insert Data into a data base.. http://www.w3schools.com/php/php_mysql_insert.asp

example:

Cannot show Form code here as will run and display Form.

Here is the PHP code for inserting Data from a Form into a Database.

It is important to be aware that PHP Script is a Server Side Scripting Language and therefore cannot

be Run from a Browser. It needs to be Uploaded to a Server.

I suspect that if your student is already developing MySQL Databases they would already have a server

installed on the PC..

Possibly WAMP on any Windows Environment or LAMP on any Linux Environment.

    • You have to use the right extinguisher for the type of fire - water/foam not to be used for live electrical fires for example. A quick Google says powder extinguishers can be used on the most different types of fire. In a public/commercial setting fire extinguishers have to be serviced every year. Not sure the recommendation for residential ones, but when you buy extinguishers and fire blankets check if there's an expiry date.
    • Thanks, yes I need the y piece for the water to go to IN both washing machine AND the dishwasher but the y piece doesn’t fit on the B yellow pipe…  I’m not worried about the waste pipe for now, I’m just concerned about the supply to get water in to both appliances
    • Not sure about the word “input” - do you mean outflow / waste ? Red figure A looks like the sink overflow. If B is the washing machine outflow then that’s where you want your Y fitting. ( assuming all above conjecture is correct). I’d put a cap on that chrome threaded dead connection too. Don’t just rely on the valve. It all looks a bit of a mess TBH 🫣.
