★★★★IMRAN YUSUF★★★★ http://www.imranyusuf.com/about/

Star of Michael McIntyre?s Comedy Roadshow (BBC 1) and Nominated for Best Newcomer in the Foster?s Edinburgh Comedy Award 2010

?By not focussing on the obvious racial stereotypes, he wins over the entire audience. His happy, positive personality leaves them feeling uplifted, energised and privileged to have had An Audience with Imran Yusuf.? Chortle ★★★★★

?Imran Yusuf?s show heralds the birth of a new comedy star. Intelligent, thought-provoking and laugh out loud funny it?s a glorious debut.? Time Out ★★★★

Imran Yusuf is renowned for his stinging, lyrical street-slang verbiage and super-high energy performance. Fast and furious yet charmingly endearing, his is a unique voice in the comedy world.

Born in Mombasa, Kenya and raised in the UK with a brief stint at school in the USA, Imran has also travelled much of the world including Israel/Palestine, Jordan and Saudi Arabia during the Lebanon Crisis in 2006. His work has been inspired by this rich multicultural background, giving him a youthful, energetic and highly original voice that embodies the multi-cultural wealth that exists in modern Britain.

He seamlessly switches between styles with graceful fluidity, repeatedly delivering heavy-weight punch lines with enormous panache. His seemingly light-hearted satire is mixed with hard-hitting topical commentary on contemporary issues that culminate into a tour de force of comedy offering an all-embracing sentiment in his trademark styling.

Imran?s initial ambition was to become a video games designer and after working for some of the top companies in the world, his creative aspirations finally gravitated towards the world of stand-up comedy. Following a period of clinical depression when he was 25, he set out to reclaim his life and career through unwavering self-belief, outrageous ambition and incredible hard work. Over the last few years he has won over the hearts and minds of a very broad audience, illustrating that absolutely anything is possible when you follow your dreams.

In 2010, Imran presented his debut solo show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The show, An Audience with Imran Yusuf, was part of the Laughing Horse Free Festival and it was Imran?s intention to develop his craft and material at the Fringe whilst at the same time keeping under the radar of the UK Comedy Industry and Press. However, word about the show got out and within a week Imran had gained the first of a collection of 5 star reviews, which led to him being nominated for Best Newcomer in the Foster?s Edinburgh Comedy Award 2010 (He was the first performer from The Free Festival to be nominated in the history of the Awards). All of this whilst fasting between sunrise and sunset in observation of Ramadan.

Imran?s TV debut was also made shortly after the festival appearing on Michael McIntyre?s Comedy Roadshow (BBC1) and the Edinburgh Comedy Fest (BBC3) broadcast in September 2010.

Imran has completed two UK tours with his solo shows ?An Audience with Imran Yusuf? and ?Bring The Thunder?, and is now working on a third solo show for debut at the Edinburgh Festival in the near future. Having already delivered ?The Imran Yusuf Show? TV pilot to the BBC and with new TV and radio projects currently in development, Imran can also be seen as a regular member of the team-based topical comedy show; The Cutting Edge at The Comedy Store in London.

★★★★MORGAN BERRY LIVE★★★★

Join rising star Joe Rowntree for an evening hot pot of his debut Edinburgh character comedy show, serving up the rare and wonderful specimen that is Morgan Berry: Pet Bereavement Counselor.

Joe is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer and presenter. His television career started back in 2001 writing put-downs for Anne Robinson on "The Weakest Link". He has hosted 2 UK tours of "Brainiac Live" which culminated at the Hammersmith Apollo after appearing in all six series of the award-winning hit Sky 1 show "Brainiac: Science Abuse.? He has supported Rhod Gilbert & Stephen K Amos on their national tours and recently recorded "Dave's One Night Stand" (Dave), which he was a huge hit on!

Morgan Berry Live

Ever wondered when the problems in your life started? When things got so confusing and out of control. Come and join the world?s first 24 hour Pet Bereavement Counselor- Morgan Berry to find out. He will cure all your problems. Come get fixed and set yourself free!

Full 4 star review of Joe?s Character show in Edinburgh 2013:

Twist your mind to imagine through the impossibilities of The League of Gentlemen being made in the early 80?s. Now thrust into that world of madness a young Vic Reeves from the heady days of Vic Reeves Big Night Out and Noel Fielding from his Mighty Boosh days. Now imagine Vic and Noel having a rancid love child. Joe Rowntree is what that child would have grown up to be, which brings us to modern day Edinburgh?

In short this show is ludicrous. Joe is a character performer who manages to completely throw himself into the role. If you were to speak to him off stage it would be hard to imagine that this nice, polite young man could come out with the nonsense that he does. To say he?s a complete nutter seems like an understatement.

There were whimpers of laughter almost continuously throughout the show and anyone who says they had even an inkling of what was coming next is a filthy liar. Joe worked his way through several very well thought out sections of the show, pausing with great effect to let the madness sink in, and continuing at just the right pace to keep everyone in the crowd constantly giggling. Short of breath and with tear drenched cheeks, we watched the show end as unexpectedly as it began.

Surprising, full of audience participation and riotous laughter, you are completely safe in the knowledge that you have just bore witness to a unique event; this is the very epitome of a great Edinburgh Fringe show. Nothing may ever be the same after watching this performance, or it maybe it will be, but at least you can bank on having some hilarious Joe Rowntree quotes to throw at your mates.

    • Where did I say he did a good job? Yup and Corbyn was very close to Len McCluskey and funded by Unite wasn't he...they're all as bad as each other... Labour have to purge their party of the far-left - they're a disaster. Allan Johnson summed it up so well on election night in 2019....
    • Thank you for the detailed advise @trinidad It is definitely damage we are concerned about. I don’t think Evri would agree to pay the bill to fix our gate or letter box if they were to be damaged as a result of their delivery drivers helper. Our doorbell can be heard from outside when rung so we don’t quite believe the aggressive simultaneous door/letter box banging is necessary. It can be quite a shock it is done very aggressively.  I’ll definitely action the steps you’ve kindly provided along with a phone call tomorrow. I do sympathise with the role drivers have and how busy they are, which is why we tried communicating directly with her but sadly we haven’t succeeded
    • What outcome would you like? Disciplinary action? Not to have the driver back? Retraining? I know there is alot of pressure on drivers to deliver within a set day. if he slams the gate, is it evidence he is causing damage, or is the noise a irritant to yourself? You could put a sign up or buy a signing asking to close the gate gentle???? can you hear the door bell from the door? he might be ringing, not hearing and therefore knocking. In trhe notes section of the be livery page, there is a note section, although there is not 100 per cent these notes would be read as these drivers are constantly rushing.  I did a google search for you, i found this and you can try the envri website Contact Us | Evri   To complain to Evri, you can follow these steps: Contact Customer Service: Call Evri's customer service at 0330 808 5456 for assistance with your complaint.    1 Write a Letter: Address your complaint to Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS27 0WH.    1 Use the Official Website: Visit the Evri complaints page on their official website for detailed instructions on how to submit a complaint.    2 Email or Call for Specific Issues: For issues like missing or damaged parcels, you can email or call 0800 988 8888, which is free to call.    1 These methods will help you effectively communicate your concerns to Evri.   My driver is called anthony, he is brilliant to be honest. I cant fault him.
    • When I have more time and energy, I will look up the actual number of votes cast for each party in that election, rather than the number of seats won. I'm interested to see that you apparently  think that  Boris Johnson did a good job of "leading the country through Covid." Is your memory really that short? I won't stoop to calling Johnson and his cronies names in the way that you seem to think is appropriate for left wing politicians. At least the left wing politicians have some semblance of morals and a concern for people who aren't in some over privileged inner circle and/or raking in money for themselves on the back of an epidemic. I'm not going to open a can of worms on here  by commenting on the disgraceful so called "purge".
