cleaner wanted for 1 bedroom house plus initial 'deep clean' session after builders dust

Hello

I am looking for a long term, hard working, efficient cleaner for a one bedroom flat in peckham rye near The Rye Pub. I have contributed to paying cleaners in previous houses i have rented and i know the difference between a good cleaner and a bad cleaner having witnessed them in action! I am flexible with what times the cleaner can come.

I am also looking for an expected 2 intense initial cleaning sessions. Our flat has just been renovated from a fire with very bad smoke damage. The flat has been re-done top to toe, however there is still builders dust and there has been no point cleaning each week since we moved back in 4 weeks ago, as builders have continuously been working. I would think it would be a good idea for a cleaner to come and clean the half empty flat before we move our stuff back in from storage, perhaps this would be 2-3 hours as there are mirrors and cupboards with dirt on.

Then perhaps, we move the remaining items from storage and then another intense cleaning session of 3-5 hours as our stuff was packed right after the fire with a half-hearted attempt to clean the smoke damage from plates, to pots, to lamps.

I just want a good honest hard working cleaner, recommendations welcome. Its not a big flat but before the fire, it was very pretty and i just want to get it looking back that way! i am looking for someone immediately. I am an artist working a couple of days at home. thank you

    • confused by the question?
    • My point was in response to this:  "The idea that serving as a local councillor (including dealing with the public, internal party politics - which is always the most vicious where the stakes are lowest, and plenty of unpaid prep work) is a great pathway for careerists and moneygrabbers is utter shite. On a per hour basis you'd be far better off working at Sainsbos."   You could give up your job at sainsbury's and do a councillor's work and be very much better off. Most of these councillors earn this sort of money and still have full time jobs on the side.
    • No. The pool changing rooms are unaffected.   The gym changing rooms (aka dry side) are being refurbished.
    • Thanks for the link Dave. For clarity, the document shows that he receives the standard basic allowance all councillors get and a Senior Responsibility Allowance commensurate with the post he held. He claims no other allowance or any expenses as far as I can see... which makes me wonder what your point might be?
