Restorative yoga at Goose Green Clinic, Tuesday eves, 3 spaces open

Recommended Posts

Hello!

Three regular places have opened up in my Tuesday restorative yoga class at the Goose Green Clinic.

This is a slow pace class to truly restore and rejuvenate body and mind.

- Do you suffer from back or joint pain?

- Are stress or depression part of your life?

- Do you maybe not feel fit, strong, flexible or young enough to join a yoga class at the gym?

- Are you recovering from illness or injury?

- Or do you maybe just have a strong need to slow down from the hectic daily life?

In this class we will specifically be working with what ever issue, niggle, condition or restriction you may bring along. You will learn ways to modify yoga positions to suit you, which positions may be particularly useful for you and how to use other practices such as breathing and relaxation to restore a sense of well-being. In order to work safely with everyone's individual needs, this class is kept small in size, creating a safe space for everyone to turn to their own needs.

Tuesdays, 19:30-21:00

Feel free to drop-in first to see if you like it. More details - http://www.yoga-gestalten.co.uk/restorative-yoga-in-east-dulwich.html

I highly recommend these classes. I first joined this group when recovering from an injury and continue to attend as often as I can. Kat creates an environment that is warm and non-judgemental (unlike some yoga groups I have tried). The group is small and each person is treated as an individual. Kat offers suggestions for alternative postures when you have difficulty with certain yoga positions and gently encourages you to try new things when you are ready.

The relaxation and restorative nature of the group also helps me unwind and reset my brain and body for the days ahead. In short, participating in this group has improved my all-round well-being.

    • As a slight woman in my mid 60's who's an avid walker I find these reports really upsettting and to be honest they put me off the idea of walking around the area for relaxation and pleasure like I used to. Most disturbing is the report of them threatening to kill someones dog and trying to kick it- I'm streetwise having been born and brought up in Notting Hill long before it was gentrified, and I lived in NYC for awhile in the 80's but there was'nt this senseless nastiness attacking and intimidating people for 'sport' that there seems to be now. Not long ago I had two females on a 185 bus just pushing me and cussing me for no reason whatsover-I confronted them about it and they carried on and started threatening to kill me...I honestly have no idea why. probably Just trying to intimidate me..another passenger advised me to get off because he could see they were jabbing me in the side and pushing me around-I did get off and realised I was actually really shaken up and scared they'd followed me. I dont know why there is so much anger and hatred in the world it saddens me.
