Simple headphone lead repair

I've got a couple of headphones with dodgy leads - the break is just below the pre-moulded mini-jack connectors. Given my klutzy lack of soldering skill, is there anywhere local that could cut off the ends and put new connectors on? I'm thinking back-of-shop repairs rather than an expensive call-out electrician.

You can try the chap who does this sort of repairs in the basement underneath the Palmerston. Can't remember his name now but he is very friendly.
