Counselling

Recommended Posts

Hello!

There are times in life when everything can feel overwhelming and finding a non judgmental person outside of the situation may help to provide emotional support through a difficult time. Everyone experiences bumps in the road, however when those bumps become more difficult to cope with it may be an opportunity to look for support to learn new ways of coping with these situations.

While spending some time working in the NHS as a GP counsellor, I have begun private practice. I am offering face to face sessions for ?40 per session and each session will last 50 minutes (via telephone, Skype or face to face).

In terms of my experience, I have worked with adults in short term and long term settings such as community counselling services, GP practices and adult educational services. I have also worked long term with children using play therapy with a charity based in primary schools.

Please have a look at my website www.lisaalfrey.co.uk for further details.

Please send me a direct message if you are interested in arranging an initial session or for further information.

Warm Regards

Lisa

    • I suppose all these issues that need addressing are a reflection of the times we live in. Important and necessary but somehow destroy the underlying spirit.
    • Do you know who organised and ran it? Because it must have been quite a lot of work. Who kept track of the credits? What safeguards were they? Was there a lower age limit eg over 18? Was insurance needed? ID? Who checked it? What was the situation if somebody was injured while working in your house or garden? What if someone broke or stole something? What if someone in your house was molested or attacked? What if you weren't happy with the standard of work? Sorry to be gloomy, but whilst this sounds a great idea in theory, in common with many people I know I've had several  bad experiences with supposedly professional tradespeople, let alone someone who wasn't doing it for a living.
