Private tuitions - Italian language

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am a fully qualified native-speaker Italian tutor with four years of teaching experience in Italy, the US and Egypt. I worked as Italian tutor for adults in Bologna (Italy); prior to that, when in the US, I joined the team of tutors of the Italian and French Department at Indiana University in Bloomington (IN); and in Egypt, I held private lessons (one-to-one or in group, max. 3 students) and taught History of Art at the Italian consular school (middle and high school).

My method is flexible and tailored to individual needs. I normally decide together with the student after the first lesson what approach to take exactly and how to efficiently organize the schedule in order to cover different subjects and easily achieve the desired goals. I can teach all levels of Italian grammar, and also Italian history, literature and history of art. I normally combine grammar classes with exercises for improving lexicon competencies, writing and conversation skills. When possible, I try to lead the entire lesson in Italian, avoiding the use of languages of support.

My rate is 25 GBP per hour (negotiable for groups of two students).

    • Just had three areas of damp expertly dealt with by JKA Damp proofing & Plastering. Each area had a different cause and Jonathan diagnosed and explained the problems comprehensively. The family firm then carried out all the necessary repairs having prepped each area meticulously. The work was done to the highest standard and then everything was cleared up beautifully. I would wholeheartedly recommend the firm if you have damp problems!
    • hi Tom I'd ask a teenager. I'd lend you mine but they are asleep.  Pop into a phone shop and ask for help with it. It's quite straightforward, but easier once you know.
    • I switched from one samsung phone to another Samsung phone about a couple of years or so ago. Now I may be misremembering but what I think I  did was to 1. Open a samsung account which gave me access to Samsung's cloud. 2. Uploaded what i wanted to transfer to new phone to the cloud. It gives a choice of which categories to upload. 3. Log in to samsung on new phone then download stuff from cloud onto new phone. I was very hesitant but I remember it was quite simple and straightforward, I surprised myself. I do keep all photos and documents on other clouds which means I can access the same file/photo from different devices, and agree with Sue about accessing emails. Good Luck!
