Shakers: A brand new theatre company starting September 2014!

Recommended Posts

We are SHAKERS, a new theatre company based in South-East London, and we are looking for committed, passionate young actors to join us this September. Our aim is to give a platform to those embarking on a career in the theatrical world. We want to put some fresh young South London talent on the stage - no experience necessary.

We'll rehearse around once a week starting this September 2014 (leaving space for work or study) and we'll aim to put on two to three productions a year - mainly Shakespeare or work inspired by Shakespeare.

Shakers is a voluntary organisation and any profit made will be invested back into the company. All we ask is that you are generous with your talent and commitment - we are very confident it will be worthwhile for everyone involved!

We are particularly interested in actors with other skills we can utilise - whether you're a designer, a musician, a writer, a poet, whatever it is - let us know! We hope to be a fully self-sufficient company with a diverse collective skill set at our disposal. We'd also love to hear from you if you're interested in joining our team behind the scenes - lighting, make-up, costumes etc.

Please visit our Tumblr page to apply: shakerstheatrecompany.tumblr.com - we are receiving applications until July 18th 2014. Feel free to drop us an email at [email protected] with any further questions.

Thanks for your interest!

Love,

The Shakers Team

The entire team can be trusted, unlike other local salons (won't mention the others that have totally destroyed my hair over the years). • The quarterly SNT Police Meetings are advertised on EDF - the one Beansprout mentions, is  Dulwich Hill. The team have been short  staffed for a number of months as one officer was injured trying to arrest a shoplifter - unfortunately the shoplifter got away but the officer was left with fractures. We regularly see one or two of the police team around the Dulwich Hill area (they were recently in Landells Road)  Dulwich Hill SNT are hoping to resume their Cuppa with a Copper sessions but are frequently asked to support colleagues policing the various protest marches.  The next Dulwich Hill SNT meeting is scheduled for December (date to be confirmed) The attack on the young woman would come under the Goose Green SNT.
