CHORALE ? A Sam Shepard Roadshow | 16-29 June at Bussey Building

CHORALE ? A Sam Shepard Roadshow is coming to SE15!

I am a local producer and proudly present my first show which now comes to London to a local theatre venue, the CLF Art Cafe in the Bussey Building.

Sam Shepard is America's most adventurous and poetic living playwright. His work begins and ends with a road: the route to promise and fulfillment, or damnation - though sometimes the two seem perilously close.

Here is a rare opportunity to experience his work through this unique roadshow that travels the length of that road, backwards, forwards, and any other way it is possible to go.

After a UK tour we are now showing the early piece The Holy Ghostly, the Beckettian dustbowl poem The War in Heaven and the newly devised piece The Animal (You) ? all with a live music score ? in repertoire with the short film Savage/Love by Shirley Clarke. Our musician from band Herons! will also hold free concerts in the bar of the CLF Art Cafe on three nights during our two week run.

Please visit www.presencetheatre.com for a breakdown and more detailed information and where you can find a link to purchase tickets!

    • Oh no, sorry to hear this, CWO. I once left GM’s with a hole in my extremely thick hair. But this wasn’t my worst haircut which came courtesy of the now-defunct Galleon where I got a proper 1980’s mullet.  It is getting very rare now to get a hairdresser who has actually  gone to hairdressing college. A lot of them are walk-ins who just get trained on the job. They’re not hairdressers - just people with a pair of scissors in their hands. When I used to go to GM’s 15 years ago, the girl who used to cut my hair was the only one out of all the staff who had gone to hairdressing college (she then left and that is how I ended up with a bad haircut) Kuki always gets excellent reviews here so I’d try them. And l’ll see if I can share my hairdresser’s details.
    • Found debit card on Colyton Road - around 5:30pm. PM with your name and the last 4 digits of the card number if you think it might be yours.  Reported to the bank who asked me to shred it. If you are the owner, they'll send a new one in the post
    • Yet to use it for a big parcel, but worth a try!
