Builder recommendation for simple task

I need a chimney breast removed from 2-storey rear extension of Victorian house.

Any recommendations ?

simple task???? i can see you have no idea what is involved then .its not just the bricks to be taken down you need to secure the rest of the chimney through loft .now that is the hard bit .

Thanks pps for your kind advice. The stack has been removed a few years ago and there's no loft on a rear extension.

I just need to establish whether the roof timber structure is supported in anyway by the breast and if so prop it up while the breast is removed, then make good.

I'd be doing this myself if it wasn't for a couple of broken fingers I'm sporting at the moment. For me, it's not a complex job, just messy. Depends what building work you've done in the past I guess.
