Hi all,

Can anyone kindly share how much their bathroom refit cost??

We've received so many different quotes and we are thinking what on earth!

Our toilet is a seperate wc. So bathtub and sink in the other room portion.

We just want a simple bathtub white

With a shower cubicle within the tub ( if that makes sense) and white

Tiling with

A

Heated towel rail.

We tried to do ours on a budget and I really wish we hadn't. It cost around ?4000. Replacing like for like with a proper shower over the bath and some nice tiles. The bloke we used who we found from here basically did a runner once we'd paid and never completely finished e job. Please pm me if you'd like his name to avoid!

    • Would this not be a complaint better aimed at the council? Isn't it an anti social behaviour issue?  I think of myself as pretty live-and-let-live and feel like a miserable cow for saying this, but I do think I might complain. Personally I love the sound of fireworks but our dog is under the table, shaking like a leaf night after night and collapses in the street when he hears the noise.  I'm worried his heart'll give out.
    • The lower / no bang noise fireworks sound great.    Is there anywhere local selling those?
    • This petition to reduce the noise of fireworks is currently going through Parliament https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/738192
    • Have you complained to the solicitor directly and did they respond within the 8 weeks they have under their code of conduct - I presume they have and this is why you have escalated further to the SRA? If he doesn't respond in a timely fashion per the SRA code of conduct then I am sure they will need to take action.
