Summer Repair Clinic

Recommended Posts

Do you have an item at home that you wish you could repair but you don?t have access to the right tools or knowhow?

Well, the Summer Repair Clinic is the solution to this problem.

It is organised by and based in the studio space of the Peckham design company, Complete Departure. We offer intelligent and thoughtful fabrication, restoration and consultancy and have a specific skill set acquired from over 20 years of industry experience.

Complete Departure has created the Summer Repair Clinic as an experimental project that aims to share the facilities and knowledge with people, in order to help them do the things they would otherwise be unable to. The project will run for a short time only, between the 19th June to the 4th July, so don't miss out.

Book a session and have an opportunity to work with plastics, metals, wood, leather, and ceramics; with the guidance from someone in our team.

lease let us know what you would like to repair in advance, by emailing a photo and a description of the damaged item you would like to repair to [email protected].

At the end of your session, you donate what you think the repair and your learning experience are worth.

To contact us call: 020 8694 9666 and ask for either Jo or William.

    • At the time of posting previously, we had no idea of the dates we would be having the children. The maths place - you pay for a course of lessons . The coding session would be good but you need to book well in advance. Also grandson has been doing coding since 6 years old. He now has a 'mentoring role' at his primary school as his knowledge of this subject is years above his chronological age. Dates are still up in the air as their father is trying to juggle leave from a new job in the north of the country.
    • why not have a pasty shop - we could have Cornish pasties, Jamaican patties, empanadas from all the different regions.... I like all three.  I'm still going to support the Chacarero family business, as I don't support chains, just as I don't buy anything from Gail's, Nero, Starbucks etc.
    • Thought it had been a fish and chip shop at one time?
    • Try Gentrification, those with more money than sense who constantly want something different, when pie and mash isn't good enough for them.  "Argentinian Cornish pasties" give3 me a proper Cornish pastie any day of the week, at least I'd be supporting something traditionally British.   ps. tin hat at the ready........................🤣
