Creative Holiday Clubs for 5-11 year olds this summer with Nimble Arts in East Dulwich

Recommended Posts

Nimble Arts is back this summer with several weeks of creative activities for 5-11 year olds! We?re an arts led holiday club, with a strong emphasis on creativity (and fun!), run by local musicians and teachers Becky and Catherine, working with a team of arts professionals. You can find out all about us on our website at www.nimblearts.co.uk, and we?re running the following holiday club activities. For slightly older children, do check out our creative 3 day musical course (see separate thread)

We?ll keep this updated with spaces left, and do just ask if you?d like any more details about any of the days. The clubs tend to fill up fairly quickly (particularly the mid-week days) so we?d advise booking soon to guarantee your place. We?re open to children from any school.

28th July ? 1st August 2014 ? at Heber Primary School

18th ? 22nd August 2014 ? at Goose Green Primary School

10.00am ? 4.00pm (with free childcare from 8.30 ? 5.00) for 5-11 year olds

You can sign up for all days or just pick those that most interest you! No two days are the same (so each drama day, for example, will have a completely different narrative, and we?ll cover different skills in each circus day)

Arts & Crafts ? Monday 28th July and Monday 18th August

Design and make your own creations then take them home! Activities will include screen printing with the fabulous Lou from Captured on the Rye.

Play Your Part ? Tuesday 29th July and Tuesday 19th August

Create your character and enter an imaginary world through drama and improvisation

Join the Circus ? Wednesday 30th July and Wednesday 20th August

Magic tricks, circus skills and acrobatics to wow your friends and family

Rock Band ? Thursday 31st July and Wednesday 21st August

Form a band and work with professionals on bass, guitar, drums and vocals to write your own songs. No experience or instruments necessary (although if you do already play or sing, you?re welcome to bring any instruments with you!)

Sound & Film ? Friday 1st August and Friday 22nd August

Write, record and edit your own short film or radio show

To book your place do go online to www.nimblearts.co.uk and you can book online. Please ask us if you?d like to know more!

Still places left for all days, but more than half full most days, with circus days (Wednesdays) and drama (Tuesday) looking most full! I'll make sure we update on here if individual days fill up, but would advise booking soon!
Some places still left - the later (18th August week) week is filling particularly quickly, so would advise booking soon! More information is at http://eepurl.com/YraUL, or have a peek at our website at www.nimblearts.co.uk

Hi, if you're still looking for anything to do this summer, we've got spaces left at our Goose Green Club on:

Monday 18th August: Arts and Crafts (last few spaces)

Tuesday 19th August: Play in a Day (last few spaces)

Friday 22nd August: Film Making

Circus skills on the Wednesday and Band day on the Thursday are full, but if you'd like to join our waiting list for those days, we're looking into the possibility of expanding our numbers if possible!

    • I’m not an expert either but surely having that high of affordable housing would seem like a terrible investment. My guess is that they will pay southwark a fine then make the rest of it student housing too
    • For some strange reason, hubby likes to spend 'big' on family cards birthday and Christmas. I think it may have stemmed from his mother- she equated money with status and was a bit of a snob!  She was also quite eccentric - we asked for a suitcase one year and got a set of 4. One year she gave hubby the equivalent of a hearing aid - it was a device to hear bird song. Nobody we know send expensive cards. We have a twice yearly set of cards from the Foot and Mouth Painting Artists and have done for the last 30 plus years. I think they are around £12 for set of 10  - cannot remember what we paid this winter but they are fantastic value and beautiful paintings.  One of the best places around to buy cards is the Fair Trade Centre at Christ Church Barry Road. Fantastic selection with a starting price of £1.30.
    • I had to renew my licence - took photocopy of my current licence and also my renewal application and posted everything off. Within 10 days received my new licence. My old licence was due to run out in January so I submitted the renewal early December.
    • I cannot remember who ran/organised the original ED LETS. They had meetings at the ED Community Centre every so often. I think there were about 20 - 25 people involved.
