Hi everyone, I've been looking for inspiration to brighten up my baby's nursery as I've found a lot of the furniture on offer is very neutral and I live in a rented place so can't do anything to the walls! Yesterday my print designer friend came round and painted the ends of her cot bed which looks amazing! I've posted about her in the classifieds section as she is available for commissions ([email protected]). I'll post some photos below.

Has anyone else done any nursery upcycling or got any good decorating ideas? X

Even if you can't paint the walls you might be able to put on some wall decals http://www.pinterest.com/butlerverna/kids-bedroom-ideas/. Quite a few are specifically marketed as non-permanent and reusable, meaning you should be able to peel them off when you move. (Warning, though, that how well that works depends on how good the paint job underneath is -- we have some and I noticed when I originally put them up and was rearranging them a bit that they sometimes take a few flakes of paint off, especially if I didn't peel them carefully.)

Hi there, we sell a variety of non-permanent and reusable wall stickers to brighten up a nursery/bedroom/playroom. Really cute and affordable! I've attached a few designs:

Cats ?3.00

Cars and roads ?4.50

Planes ?4.50

Cookies ?4.50

Glow in the Dark ?4.00

Please get in touch if you have further enquiries such as sizes or detailed pics.

Thanks!

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
