Handbag/leather repair - anywhere?

Have a really nice handbag that I'm really attached to and hope can be given a new lease of life.

It needs the strap repairing/re-restitching where it meets the handbag itself.

Anyone know anywhere that might be able to repair it?

Merrifields in the road leading up to East Dulwich Station.

On the left just before you get to the station.

He makes shoes as well as just repairing them, and I'm sure would be able to sort your bag.

I wouldn't bother with Merrifields , i previously had taken a leather bag in to have a repair effected on the handle and he did the worst repair job I had ever seen, I ended up having to take it back and then do it myself the third time with needles via ebay.

I am extremely surprised at this as he has always done an excellent job on anything I have ever taken in.

What exactly was wrong with what he did, and why did you have to do it yourself?

He's a professional shoe maker - there aren't many of those around!

I would second Merrifields- he's fixed handbags for me, and multiple shoes and has always done a great job.

He's done a great job of rescuing some of my shoes for me and I have been back to him several times.
