AlexandHelenC
Hello there, we've got a bit of a problem that I hope someone can help with. We ordered a dining table from Ebay recently but it didn't fit through our front door when it was delivered (stupidly, we had mis-calculated the dimensions of the hallway!). We therefore sent it to a friend's flat in Penge to store while we find a solution to the problem. We live in a first floor flat with a big bay window at the front. The table will easily fit through that bay window - we only moved in a few weeks ago and that was the way we got our sofa and armchair into the flat. We therefore need someone who can hoist the table up to the first floor and through the window. The big removals companies will charge a lot for this service (categorising it as a mini house move) so we're hoping to find someone local who has the expertise and equipment (i.e. some sort of hoist and some protective materials for the table) to complete the task. The job will involve collecting the table from Penge, bringing it to East Dulwich (Underhill Road) and carrying it in through the window. Clearly we'll need at least 2, probably 3 people, for the job. Any advice or quotes for this work would be greatly appreciated.
