Hi All,

About 30 minutes ago my doorbell went, but I didn't answer as I was bathing my baby upstairs. I came to find this Bomb Bag thing on my doormat. I had a look on the back and it has all the usual warnings but also that applying pressure to it will make it basically explode with a loud noise. And don't let it go off near babies and kids. Lovely.

A couple of weeks ago I had someone peering through my letterbox during the day too.

Has anyone else had one of these posted through, or am I the lucky chosen one?

Thanks

Thanks HP. It wasn't long ago that I caught someone looking through our letterbox so it just unnerved me a bit as they rang the bell. My toddler was pottering about so could have picked it up. Looked it up on YouTube and it's a bit naff. Nothing like the bang we had tonight though with the lightening!

    • Ha ha that's hilarious - how wonderfully embarrassing for Reform!
    • Closing down completely. The lovely people there are all retiring. Thanks, but Deptford is a long way to go to make two journeys to  take and collect a car! Do they not do even relatively minor repairs if it fails its MOT first time? Then that would require four journeys 😭 Wondering if there's already a thread on here for garage recommendations? People on my road WhatsApp group have recommended some local ones. I'm particularly gutted because apart from the lovely people who worked there,  Dell was a five minute walk for me!
    • I did think that might be the reason, but five years out of seven it's going to be a weekday (I think. Not sure how leap years might affect things!)
    • Probably because the 5th was a weekday. We still have the weekend to come. Also, some fireworks going off nearly every night for the last few months. Last night something was being let off that made a very deep booming noise every 10 seconds or so. That said, if the general public are beginning to see the harm done by firework noise and choosing to use low noise options and refusing to support organised events that still use the full throttle type, I for one would be very happy. Does anyone know if the Herne Hill Velodrome Halloween fireworks event used low noise options?
