wanted - 'man with van' recommendations for office move

Recommended Posts

We need to hire someone with a van who can help move office equipment, some furniture, books, etc from our current office in SE1 near London bridge to another local office in SE1, and also to take other boxloads of stuff to the tip.

We are a small business with around 2 or 3 people who will also be around to help moving items when needed.

Any recommendations for someone reliable and efficient) who will be able to deal with office equipment rather than residential in terms of taking to tip?

If so, can you also let us know the size and type of van as well as hourly rates, thanks.

    • That explanation sounds highly unlikely!  Surely the "days of the week" plates must be a standard size. I know Royal Mail often appears incompetent, but it  couldn't be that stupid, surely. Was it 1 April?!

    • Southwark's recycling guidance says to put shredded paper in the blue bin in a paper envelope or "small box". I've got far too much of it for that  (confidential stuff going back decades) - thanks to the EDF member who kindly gave me a shredder! It would be a "massive box". I have barely started  the shredding, and I've already got an extremely large bagful.   I've read online that you can put it into  large clear plastic bags in the bin for paper,  provided you  clearly label it "shredded paper" and it is obvious what it is. Does anybody know if Southwark would accept it like that? Alternatively, can anyone make use of it for animal bedding or packaging material or adding to  compost?
