Huguenot Posted September 6, 2014 Share Posted September 6, 2014 Well the convictions were 30 years ago, so they can only really reflect the US police and judicial system of the early eighties.Whereas the overturning of these convictions is present day - so that is a positive reflection of the judicial system now.But you're right in the sense that large sections of society may be too daft to recognize that rather obvious point.Without labouring it, this was North Carolina, so expectations would have been quite low to start with.
