I just wanted to make a mention of Vic and Peter of VP Removals (who we found through this forum). They recently helped us with a temporary - and thankfully stress free - house move, and I can't recommend them highly enough.

They worked tirelessly and diligently for a very long day. First carefully packing, including kitchen (and also bathroom as they did such an efficient job with the kitchen!) and then moving our furniture and contents, including very heavy awkward appliances.

They were prompt, friendly and courteous, and made the whole experience much less stressful than previous moves.

We were so impressed that we asked them back to clear out our loft for us, and we will not hesitate to use them again for the move back home.

  Posted around 12 cards 2 weeks prior to 24th December. Had some responses so know people have received them. Had about 20 cards - mixture of hand delivered and via post. After years of 'nagging' by myself and our daughters, we may have cured hubby of spending £4 plus on individual cards for our immediate family ( when you have 12 immediate family it costs a bomb) Also as the girls state, they get put in the recycling bad at beginning of January regardless of cost.
- Any interest in a Barter scheme?

  There was a LETS scheme in ED and it ran for a couple of years or so. Trying to remember when it was pre 2000? A couple of friends joined it, one did baby sitting for exchange for ironing, the other did small painting jobs or simple gardening. There was a set criteria regarding credits,
