As an uneasy peace holds in Gaza and the dust settles there is now an enormous amount of work to be done supporting people to rebuild their lives. The Gaza Disasters Emergency Committee will continue funding for the next two years to help rebuild schools, hospitals and help those most in need.

Hundreds of thousands of people have fled their homes and are in desperate need of food, water, shelter and medical care. Over 200,000 people urgently need food aid; 1.5 million people have no or very limited access to water or sanitation; and over 65,000 people are now homeless after their homes were severely damaged or destroyed.

The health system in Gaza is on the verge of collapse, with 24 health facilities damaged and acute shortages of medicines and medical supplies.

Services in Gaza were severely stretched before the conflict, and 80% of the population depended on aid. There is now massive unmet humanitarian need in Gaza which can only be met with substantial international assistance.

    • I've not done a forensic analysis - on a second viewing: Going up Sydenham Hill from London Road/Lordship Lane, junction with Underhill and Langton with Camberwell Old Cemetery, Honor Oak Rec and the adjacent cemetery, Netherby Road and top of Canonbie (really don't see the point of Jazzer's post). Of the woodland and open space, I thought One Tree Hill, some of it looks like Sydenham Hill Woods, but could also be Camberwell Old Cemetery.
    • Looking for a second hand but it good working order dryer if anyone is upgrading or moving and needs to sell theirs please message me.  Thanks
    • Well this will help tomorrow morning for trying to get work from this end of Underhill Road.   I presume the bus stop will be closed again.   As I mentioned before this is to test the lead levels in Thames water.  By the way after googling I noticed England isn't even in the top 10 countries for water quality.  I wonder are we in the top ten for cost to individual 🏠 🏡?   Does anyone know?
    • As a local walking past regularly, I find that the boys are nicely behaved on arrival and at home time.
