Fruit flies

Hi all

Over the last few days our flat has been inundated with in think is fruit flies.

Has anyone else been having this problem ? I know it could be something to do with this Indian summer but does anyone know how to prevent / get rid of them ?

I had em. Google fruit fly trap. I set one and it was surprising effective. Bowl, clingfilm, OJ. BOOM..

We had them a while back. They like red wine.

99% if the time there will be something in your house attracting them. I had some last week and couldn't work it out, then found a banana with a split in the skin in the fruit bowl. I've also had them hanging around an onion, so they're indiscriminate in terms of food source!

Inside a small bowl, put lemon or some citrus juice and a piece of apple, and cover in cling film, then pierce the whole with several holes big enough for fruit flies to get in. They will do so. They won't get out. We did about three of these and each morning there were hundreds in there and two days later - zilch. I got this by googling something like how the hell do I get rid of hundreds of fruit flies!

Cold snap coming. See you next year fruit flies. Now it's just that mouse.
