Village Books Dulwich is celebrating Books Are My Bag Day this Saturday.

From 1pm there will be fabulous free face-painting for children, and brilliant helium balloons. There will be delicious prosecco for grown-ups. Then at 3pm we welcome new bookselling recruit Jo Brand - who'll be serving behind the till in her own inimitable style. And we'll be offering an Extra Slice - cake and biscuit tasting we've baked using recipes from the Great British Bake-Off. And we'll be offering a free Books are My Bag, designed by Tracey Emin, when you redeem one of our loyalty cards. Come and join the fun - and help keep bookshops on your high street.

  Just seen that a lease has been agreed for the Tile Giant site next to Toolstation at the Grove Tavern end of Lordship Lane. Does anyone have the inside scoop on who has taken the lease?

  The GM's in Dulwich has been gone for around 3 years, so the most recent post must be about the Crystal Palace branch, I presume the same staff moved over? I've been going to Tash at Kuki for a while, never had a problem.

  Say it again, those at the back didn't hear you 🤣 I've looked on the map on a PC, no legend, nothing comes up when you hover over or click on it. We have had a leak on our road for 5 days, reported at least 10 times according to the map but it's still pouring down the road!
