Fantastic light, airy, newly refurbished and decorated large loft bedroom/living area in attractive family house, in a quite residential street, close to transport links. The room is at the top of the house and very quite. It has a sofa, coffee table, television with Virgin media tv, bookcase, wifi, large built in wardrobe/shelving, king sized bed, book case etc.

Use of modern bathroom and separate toilet, fully fitted kitchen, utility room with washer/dryer, freezer, dining room and garden in this 4 bedroom semi attached house. The whole house is centrally heated. Use of a pretty, south-facing garden. General parking on road with no parking restrictions.

Transport

There are excellent transports links and we are only a couple of minutes to Forest Hill train and overground station, zone 3, with direct trains to London Bridge, Victoria, Clapham Junction, East and West Croydon, Canada Water etc. Good bus services in and out of London.

General Area information

Forest Hill has a great selection of shops, bars, restaurants, cafes, a big Sainsbury's, petrol station, post office etc. We are close to Sydenham, Lewisham, Blackheath, Greenwich and East Dulwich, all within easy reach. There is an excellent and very reasonably price leisure facility within 3 mins walk for the house. It has a large pool, lots of different classes and a well equipped gym.

Hi, I am interested in the room and would like to see it as soon as possible. I am currently available to move immediately. Based in Wimbledon Village and East Dulwich, so this area is home from home. I'm single. And looking to stay in this area. Looks perfect. My details are 0780 276 0270 and [email protected] Looking forward to seeing you and the room soon. Best, Peter White 🌹

    • When I had a property with a basement there would often be a pool of water in the centre. I was told it was related to the fluctuating height of the water table in the area (se22) and would not become a problem and the only way to get rid of it would be to get the whole place completely tanked.
    • We've got a Victorian coal hole cellar with a mud floor and after a couple of severe water leaks, I've taken more of an interest in the state of the dampness.  I've been running a dehumidifier for the past couple of weeks following a small water pipe leak and whilst most of the floor is now bone dry, there are damp patches along most of the wall adjoining the next house, a large damp patch in the middle of the floor that will not dry even with the dehumidifier right next to it and a patch of wet mud in a small hollow in the middle of the cellar.  An expert that lent us industrial drying equipment following a flood from a burst mains pipe said there will always be damp, but I'm a bit concerned in case there is a fundamental problem - any ideas from anyone with similar?
