Can anyone recommend a builder for extension?

Hi,

We are looking at adding a back and side extension to a ground floor Victorian end of terrace property, we'd like to do something open plan and quite modern. Can anybody recommend a good builder or architect that they have used for a similar project?

Don't you want to go for an architect first if you are looking for something a little more interesting than your standard "builder's" solution?
