Hi All

I have been worried for a while about my daughters nursery but to my eternal shame I ignored my feelings because I enjoyed the time I had to get on with things that take three times as long when you have a 2 year old by your feet 😞. However, recently my fears about the nursery have been voiced by others and there is no ignoring them now. My daughter loves nursery, but I cant in good consciousness send her back, I am looking for any recommendations about a good nursery (with spaces) one with great staff and happy stimulated children, I don't work so I don't need a Nellys type nursery, I live in W Dulwich but drive. Thank you for reading and any replies would be very much appreciated.

We are very happy with Blossoms Montessori, not hugely convenient for you but it is just opposite the Peckham rye park on dunstans grove. It is a term time only nursery, between 9aam-4pm so would suit a non-working parent (without worrying about wrap around care for full days, holidays). I can't rate them highly enough, it is a proper Montessori nursery, calm and content, with excellent staff. My daughter is flourishing there...You can get in touch with Julie, its owner to ask for spaces as depending on which days you want there might be availability. Can't promise though.

    • @Sue that makes sense as its pretty tiny for eat in..we live down the road so can get lucky with walk-ins. Their phone number is 0208 291 4423 here's their website https://www.matoom.co.uk/ I just LOVE the food there
    • We’re pretty much down to just sparrows, wood pigeons and the occasional great tit.  Plus parakeets, but I chase them away.    A couple of years ago we had bluetits, robins, blackbirds & goldfinches most days, but almost never now despite washing out the bird bath most days & decent regular bird seed & fat balls.  we have had a couple of sparrow hawks which was exciting, but I’d rather have the goldfinches..  v sad.
    • My garden has been completely empty of birds since I took down my bird feeders (I have to sort out the garden before I put them up again in a different spot.Cats were sitting in wait).
    • You need to book I think? We couldn't get a table when we tried!
