venue for family Christmas party

We are organising a Christmas party a few weeks before the day itself to bring together family and friends. We're too big a group for our house - 20 adults and 14 children last count! Looking for a venue where we can stay a few hours, have a meal etc. The ideal would be a function room somewhere - not too pricey.

Anyone have any ideas?

The Talbot in Brockley have a room upstairs that they used to let you have if you were a big party, its good as you can take some toys for the children to play with and still feel relaxed if they run around. It's also at the bottom of a road leading up to Hilly Fields, if the small people do start to go stir crazy, or you need to walk off the wine- whichever comes first...
