You should have a look at the Southwark Let's Go Guide here: http://www.southwark.gov.uk/info/200246/activities_and_things_to_do/768/activities_for_under_fives

It gives the details of all the classes offered in local Childrens Centres, including any associated costs (a lot are free and some provide financial support to those on lower incomes)

Hiya,

I don't know if this counts as inexpensive but my baby massage lessons cost ?55 for five 1 1/2 hour sessions - an hour of massage/theory/discussion then half an hour of tea and biscuits afterwards. They're perfect for two month old babies so please take a look at my website if this appeals - I still have a couple of spaces available on my course starting on 3rd December. The venue is East Dulwich Community Centre on Darrell Road.

Good luck with whatever you choose,

Louie

Hi there,

If you like singing there is a fantastic group on Friday afternoons in ED called Hummy Mummies. You don't have to have any singing experience, and it's great fun. You get to sing lots of fun grown-up songs which is a nice change from the 50th rendition of Wind the Bobbin Up! And the kids love it too. This is the website if you want more info: www.hummymummies.com. The cost is ?65 for a full term or ?35 for half a term.

All the best.

I found the crooked well on Tuesday mornings great, as it is more of a chance to meet other mums whilst having a coffee and a pastry, as well as having toys for the babies. I also loved the Ivydale centres baby group on Wednesday afternoon. The Ivydale is a bit harder to get to but either the p 12 or 13 goes there. Crooked well is easy.
Also search on this forum for the summer baby group 2014 you might be able to join a meet up. There are lots of great 1 'o'clock clubs which are free, also look out for brixton ritzy fri mornings that does baby scream, normal movies for mums with tots under 1.
Even cheaper than the ritzy is the Peckham pulse under 1s cinema which is about ?4. You can get chatting to other mums or just have a nice solo w at h of the film. I used to put my daughter in her sling and she'd usually have a reallly good sleep through something horrifically inappropriate. And do a big poo. Always the big poo.

    • Hello.   Thanks Nigel and Hparker 😀   I've got new slots available for new students looking for a piano teacher or guitar teacher.   You could start in the new term beginning September, or I'm also available adhoc-styles through the summer holidays at times.   I teach all ages, in most styles, in lots of different ways according to how you learn/like to learn.   Give me a call or text on 07730 402336.   I have connections to lots of performance opportunities/networks too.   I run regular events /student concerts, and play in bands/perform.   Natalie.
    • So do I, but I think they are in trouble as well.  Anyway, that space wouldn't be big enough.
    • I'm not talking about Starmer. I was responding to a post which  said that  Corbyn was unelectable. How people voted in the "more hotly contested election" is irrelevant. Corbyn wasn't leading the Labour Party then. Starmer was. And the turnout for Labour reflects that.
    • Reeves says she's in charge and no no's Rayners plan, what happens now?
