Melbourn Grove Medical Practice

Doctors great but its the ONE receptionist who makes the whole entire experience extremely awful. Wished she'd be introduce to the rail track! She has a horrible attitude, very unpleasant voice, never smiles, talks behind patients backs without realising THAT patient is there and can hear you! Very rude, completely unhelpful. Seen many patients who just wanted to slap her! Seriously wish she'd get fired as she puts other receptionist down and the whole concept of "front person smiley friendly face" is never going to be suitable for that surgery. Jenny YOU'RE FIRED. If they got rid of her I'm certainly sure the surgery will have a much better reputation.

Can not ever get appointments, can not get through on the phone, can never speak to a Doc over phone, almost always messes the medication! Was very hard to find out who the manager was, had to phone another surgery to find that info to complain! My review and experience would have have been manageable if it was not for that ONE horrid receptionist! And thats all she'll ever amount to, except a lot of patients also completely dislikes her. Have had many many disgusting experience. But its the nearest surgery! All other receptionist is by far lovely smiley and a delight to meet Except that horrid Jenny.

    • I think you were very lucky to get it cancelled, TBH. So far as I know, there is not some kind of unofficial period of grace after the publicised time.
    • But... you returned at 4.03pm... 🤷‍♀️
    • Hello, Does anyone know of any climbing, basketball or badminton clubs that are local to Peckham, East Dulwich? My son’s weekends are full of football and rugby training but I’m struggling to keep him busy (off a screen!) on week evenings. I’ve looked into the London Community boxing but sessions sadly start at 4.30 and he’s not back from school until 5.  Any recommendations gratefully received!
    • Be careful out there  !   I got a ticket for 1 minute over  on Lordship Lane   ---- with a blue badge , on a single yellow ...    I returned at 4.03pm to find the ticket -- he waited till 4.01pm with ticket and then scarpered  Naturally i appealed it and this was the response   We refer to the informal challenge you have made against the issue of the Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) JK17113680 You were parked on a single yellow line with one yellow kerb marking. There is a sign at the location advising that no loading is permitted Monday-Friday, 7 am to 10 am, and then 4 pm to 7 pm. Loading is permitted for a maximum of 40 minutes between 10 am and 4 pm, and then again after 7 pm. You were observed parked at 4:01 pm. and therefore issued a PCN for parking at a time when the rule applies. The purpose of this rule is to improve traffic flow and safety at all times. This contravention is immediately enforceable, and therefore, a PCN can be issued straight away as no observation period is needed. This rule applies to disabled badge holders, too; it is not a situation where you may use your disabled badge. Although your Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) was correctly given, we have cancelled it on this occasion, as a gesture of goodwill. Please note that this cancellation does not set a precedent for other PCNs issued in the future under similar circumstances, as each case is dealt with on its own merits. Yours sincerely Anita Hayler Southwark Parking
