2 strong and cheap people wanted to move 2 washing machines!

I'm looking for 2 strong people who could move my old washing machine out of my flat to the yard, and bring another one from downstairs up into the flat. My flat is up 33 stairs (with 3 places to stop and have a rest if needed!)

There is also an old sofa which I'd like to get shifted at the same time.

Southwark council bulky waste dept have not turned up on either of the dates they were meant to, so I'm looking for a more reliable alternative. Please send a PM with quote for your price for the job, thanks. I can be fairly flexible on the timing.

Hi Mustard, Actually, Southwark had all details about the collection including the fact it was up 33 stairs inside the building, and confirmed both in 2 emails and on the phone that they WOULD be able to collect - they gave me the ref number and booking details including those notes....Maybe the person making the booking got it wrong (twice).

Anyway, thanks for the PMs so far from people offering to do it - I'll be in touch asap and will see if we have more luck with Southwark when they are able to pick up from outside....

    • they probably frequent the parks more in summer when there are more people around, dropping food etc.  Likewise, I haven't seen as many in my garden recently.

    • The banking crisis was a global event which enabled the Tories victory and to this day is somehow used against Labour  covid and furlough are under events which impacted economy.  But guess what? Not just the uk economy! energy prices a result of the Russian invasion, something Johnson said would never happen and as we seek to remove ourselves from non-renewable and Russian controlled natural resources, we have Tories and reform condemning Labour for pursuing renewables. Something most other sane countries are doing  We must also not forget the mad relative in the attic.  Brexit.  Something which contributed massively both to the black hole and to the foreseeable future lack of growth  (this is something starmer has also bizarrely tied himself to. Presumably in an attempt to placate the media/loons who think it was a good idea but which will fail in both aims)
    • Ah, so unforeseeable events didn't add to the "black hole"  Gotcha
