Just a warning to ladies that decide to visit headnizm on lordship lane for a hair colour,

I was blonde went there and payed a good amount of money to go what I made very clear a light brown turned out black was told to keep washing and will fade well it didn't

Called them and owner told me to come back for them to look well she didn't even bother to come over to me and look left it to the hairdresser who done it in first place for her to tell me that I will have to pay another big amount of money to get it brown, and I should of come back earlier make up your mind told me would fade.

Never will that place get my money again disgusting customer service from the owner.

Have now had my colour corrected at bounce on forest hill road wish I had gone there from start there brilliant.

Couldn't agree more.......Had a haircut from them that could've been done better by David Blunkett. Went to Kuki on Bellenden Rd. A real hairdresser where they listen to and value their customers. Never been back even though it's around the corner from me and super convenient.

that's all very well, but then potentially you're left with a terrible haircut which takes ages to grow out and you have to pay to have it put right....

no you get them to put it right. i know as an ex had a very bad hair cut at queens in old kent road ,they coloured it cut it done it all arse about face they coloured it so they got charge for a full head colour insteard of cutting it first and charging a half colour anyway until that point queens had never refunded anyone .they did me in full and paid to have it done somewhere else she went to browns in bromley and they even said how bad a job they made .also when i have mine cut if it aint what i asked for then i wouldnt pay but that hasnt happened to me as my guy always cuts it how i ask it to done.
If I hadn't been told the colour would fade to how I wanted it as soon as it was finished I would not of paid, they assured me it would loads as they knew I was not happy with it, I washed it loads and it didn't so I went back as you can see from my post above that is how I got treated when I did go back.

dear tash B

HOW ITS MY TURN . IF I REMEMBER YOU HAD YOU HAIR DONE AT MY SALON 3 YES 3 MONTHS AGO . BY ONE OF MY STYLIST WHO ALSO HAS YEARS OF EXPERIENCED IN COLOUR. YOU WHERE GIVEN A VERY LONG CONSULTATION WHERE THE COLOUR WE USED ON YOUR HAIR WAS SHOWN TO YOU WHICH WAS A LIGHT BROWN NOT BLACK. WHEN EVERYTHING WAS FINISHED YOU WHERE HAPPY AND PAID FOR A JOB WELL DONE.

LAST WEEK I THINK IT WAS WE HAD A PHONE CALL FROM YOU SAYING YOU NEED YOUR ROOTS DONE AS IT HAD BEEN 3 MONTHS AGO AND WANTED TO TALK TO THE STYLIST IN QUESTION ABOUT GOING LIGHTER THAN LAST TIME I BOOKED YOU IN AND DID SAY WE WILL HAVE A LOOK. SO YOU CAME IN THE STYLIST WHO DONE YOUR HAIR WANTED TO HAVE A CHAT WITH YOU FIRST ABOUT YOUR HAIR . AS I HAD TOLD HER WHAT YOU STATED ON THE PHONE . MY REPLY TO HER WAS IF YOU NEED ME THEN ASK ME TO COME OVER WHEN THE CLIENT IS HERE .SO WHEN YOU CAME IN THE STYLIST WENT AGAIN THROUGH THE COLOURS THAT WHERE USED AND THAT YOUR HAIR WAS ALOT LIGHTER THAN BEFORE. AND YES SHE DID SAY IF YOU WERENT HAPPY WHY DID YOU LEAVE IT 3 MONTHS TO SAY ANYTHING.THE REASON I DID COME OVER TO YOU THE STYLIST AS SAYING AND DOING EVERYTHING I WOULD HAVE DONE AND HAVING HEARD THE CONVERSATION .I DIDNT NEED TO COME OVER AS YOU WERENT COMPLAINING JUST AS I LEFTED THE SALON YOU THEN ASKED IF YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR YOUR COLOUR AND THE REPLY WAS YES. YOU DIDNT ONCE ASK TO TALK TO ME. WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN COMMON PRACTICE TO ASK FOR THE OWNER .

NOW THE TRUTH AND BEEN TOLD .

My hair was black not brown for a start have been told by several hairdressers that the colour came out so dark because it was left on for 40 mins which didn't need to be that long on blonde, you all kept telling me it will fade you even told me that on the phone which it didn't and when I came back I did moan about paying again so you obviously wasn't listening that good and you as a owner told me to come in at half 10 and your words we will have a look but no you stayed at the back bit out of sight listening as you reckon, I will end this now as you know and I know the truth you can justify all you like on this but your customer service as a owner is crap full stop.

I really don't understand why anyone would accept a hairdresser telling them to just wash their hair a few times and the colour will get lighter. Surely if correct, that would just mean it was a rubbish dye, which wouldn't be acceptable either.

Personally I'm inclined to believe the shop here, because the OP doesn't really make sense or ring true.

I'm a bloke, but when younger and less bald I used to have bright red streaks in my hair from headnizm, and always really liked the people in there. This was 10/11 years ago though to be fair.

    • Yes, these are all good points. I agree with you, that division has led us down dangerous paths in the past. And I deplore any kind of racism (as I think you probably know).  But I feel that a lot of the current wave of xenophobia we're witnessing is actually more about a general malaise and discontent. I know non-white people around here who are surprisingly vocal about immigrants - legal or otherwise. I think this feeling transcends skin colour for a lot of people and isn't as simple as, say, the Jew hatred of the 1930s or the Irish and Black racism that we saw laterally. I think people feel ignored and looked down upon.  What you don't realise, Sephiroth, is that I actually agree with a lot of what you're saying. I just think that looking down on people because of their voting history and opinions is self-defeating. And that's where Labour's getting it wrong and Reform is reaping the rewards.
    • @Sephiroth you made some interesting points on the economy, on the Lammy thread. Thought it worth broadening the discussion. Reeves (irrespective of her financial competence) clearly was too downbeat on things when Labour came into power. But could there have been more honesty on the liklihood of taxes going up (which they have done, and will do in any case due to the freezing of personal allowances).  It may have been a silly commitment not to do this, but were you damned if you do and damned if you don't?
    • I'd quit this thread, let those who just want to slag Labour off have their own thread.  Your views on the economy are worth debating.  I'm just stunned how there wasn't this level of noise with the last government.  I could try to get some dirt on Badenoch but she is pointless  Whilst I am not a fan of the Daily Mirror at least there is some respite from Labour bashing. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/grenfell-hillsborough-families-make-powerful-36175862 https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/nigel-farage-facing-parliamentary-investigation-36188612
    • That is a bit cake and eat it tho, isn’t it?    At what point do we stop respecting other people’s opinions and beliefs  because history shows us we sometimes simply have no other choice  you are holding some comfort blanket that allows you to believe we are all equal and all valid and we can simply voice different options - without that ever  impacting on the real world  Were the racists we fought in previous generations different? Were their beliefs patronised by the elites of the time? Or do we learn lessons and avoid mistakes of the past?   racists/bigots having “just as much to say” is both true and yet, a thing we have learnt from the past. The lesson was not “ooh let’s hear them out. They sound interesting and valid and as worthy of an audience as people who hold the opposite opinion”
