Hi James, wondered if you had an update as I hadn't realised that Sainsburys were responsible for locking/unlocking St Francis park. It is still locked around 10-11am Sunday mornings which is really frustrating as I can't walk thru there on a regular basis. Thanks

Wrong Bluerevolution.

Southwark Council are accountable for ensuring Sainsbury's stick to the letter of the S106 under which Sainsbury's deliver the park and runs it.

I will seek officers to enforce the Section 106 legal agreedment with Sainsbury's.

Sainsburys signed up to an S106 contract requiring them to maintain, secure and run the park in a set manner in return for permission to build their supermarket. It is the same contract that ensured they building of champion hill stadium as an asset that can only be used for community sports, leisure and educational purposes. These contracts are very common to preserve community facilities from overdevelopment. The council can and does enforce these legally binding contracts.

    • I've planted a meadow out front, it needs a lot of work.  It's lovely until August and then grotty until the next spring as once the flowers have died back it doesn't have a lot going for it.  Clover is the last one to flower.  It will get admiring looks when in bloom. I laugh quite loud when I pass one neighbour with plastic grass, not only is it dead to nature it is not even laid well,   I should be crying.
    • Andy did a number of jobs for me and was very reasonably priced. He's very helpful, arrives on time, pays attention to detail and a nice man. I'll be using him again and recommending him to my friends.
    • A Y13 student of Art at The Charter School North Dulwich left their A3 art portfolio on the 37 bus after school on Friday 13 February - travelling from North Dulwich to East Dulwich.  TFL and the bus garage have been contacted but do not have it.  It is a large A3 transparent bag with a black art folder inside.  The student's name is inside the portfolio and the bag is stamped with the school name.  If anyone happens to have picked up the portfolio or has any leads please do contact [email protected]  We are really keen to get our student's work back safely!
    • It is sectarianism, which is a really strange stance for the Green party (as is traditionally understood) to take. I don't understand it at all - and this is evident in their UK and O/seas policies
