Default settings

Is it possible to have a default setting such that you have to opt in to getting replies to a thread notified to you by email, rather than having to opt out?

OR could you be just notified once, until you've opened the thread again?

I'm getting inundated again despite having gone through my whole list of "followed threads" and deleted them all ......

I think it may be partly because AOL was down this morning so might be catching up.

I'm also clicking on "stop following this thread" in the f****** emails, and STILL they're coming thick and fast

Sue, they will stop coming eventually.

By default "follow emails" is turned off, you must have turned it on. Go to your control panel and edit the Forum setting that says:

Enable email-notification as default: (set it to no)

Thanks - I hadn't changed anything but it was indeed set to enable :-S
