Recommending RJP Roofing

I live in Woolwich and was seeking a SE London roofer on the net, and so I joined the forum specifically to find out more about Russell Perring from some of the posters here, as we had a leak on our roof which several people had failed to fix and for which several tradesmen were not offering

very clear or optimistic solutions. I even went to the local roofing supplier to see if they knew of him - they did,and only had praise for him

He did a superb, beautiful job in August 2014 - the leak has gone, he accessed the area through the Velux window, no need for scaffolding (all other quotes said we would need it) and bringing along two very agile, polite

and efficient teamworkers

We've had our roof parapet walls redone and bits and bobs repaired a few months and indeed great great work. I meant to post a recommendation on the forum since, just haven't got round to it... This thread has prompted me to do it: Russell and his team, including the scaffolders he works with, were a joy to work with and delivered an excellent service.

    • I know people won’t have any sympathy but the SEND challenge was brought up when taxing parents who have opted for independent school to meet a child’s SEND needs. Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.
    • I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
    • And they started long before midnight!
    • First mate - I wondered if I was imagining things at 4.45 this morning . Apparently not .
