Laptop repair/ maintenance?

Hi all,

I just wondered if anyone has any recommendations for reasonably priced laptop whizzes out there who might be able to do a bit of maintenance on my laptop pc? It's been running rather slow of late and sometimes has problems starting up/ not showing the desktop. The DVD drive also skips an awful lot. I think it needs a bit of an MOT even though I regularly run malware and anti virus scans.

Anyone know of anyone who is good at this kind of thing?
