Just re-insured mine: it's a 50cc Vespa, Im ummm, 'not young' shall we say? it was about ?130 fully comp. I do 3000 miles p.a - just around town & commuting and spend around ?5-8 per week on petrol. Because I got my driving licence a million years ago (in the 1980's) I didn't need to take a test, but my understanding is that under 125cc you can drive on a provisional indefinitely (could be wrong though?)

I love, L.O.V.E, love my scooter. It's the best thing ever. I say go for it - you won't regret it :)

I commute by motorbike not scooter but no matter.

Do it but get training regardless of needing a test or not, and get good gear so you're not being distracted by cold or wet - there's no bad weather just the wrong outfit ;-)

And heated bar grips are amongst the world's best inventions.

    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
    • Wholeheartedly recommend Aria. He was polite, responsive and sorted our leak, from an old tap on an old plumbing system, with no bother and on same day.
