bensam
I currently have a full time nanny but next year littlest one going to school full time. Does anyone have luck finding a good afterschool nanny who can do five days a week from 3 to 7:30 and then some holidays? I am getting worried I won't be able to find someone long term but then I can't keep my current nanny and school fees as well. What type of people are afterschool nanny only? Are there any agencies which specialize in this? All thoughs and advice welcome. srisky
It's very tricky, as the hours required will not earn nannies/au pairs much money and also breaks up their day and any chance of another job :(Could a TA or childminder do pick ups for you? Some childminders do offer these services. We found ours through childcare.com but this is a generic childcare website not one specialising in after school. I would recommend posting in the classifieds section here and on the childcare websites. Dulwich childcare may also be able to help if you contact them.Good luck! DVnewbie
We found a lovely after school nanny after advertising on here. She'd recently retired, and was therefore happy with the reduced hours, and is fantastic with the children - they love her. It's worth advertising on here anyway. Or you could try Dulwich childcare who seem good. Good luck!!
