Theatre Ad Infinitum is based here in East Dulwich. Established in 2006, we are a Lecoq-trained company that creates new and original theatre for an international audience. Last year we took our debut Behind the Mirror to the Pleasance Courtyard to perform in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2008. We got back exhausted, but very happy, after what became a successful run for our company.

To sum it all up it began with a five star review from Broadway Baby and ended with ?Best of the Fringe? in the Observer Review on Sunday, Mervin Stutter?s ?Pick of the Fringe? and a Total Theatre Award nomination!

Observer ?Best of the Fringe?

?Inventive, very funny mime show (yes, really) ? promising stuff from new Lecoq-trained company, Ad Infinitum?

Scotsman ****

?The audience find themselves at the heart of this intelligent troupe?s imagination? the energy of the three performers is relentless, and nothing short of charming throughout?

Metro ****

?An exhilarating piece of wordless theatre? a company with a very promising future?

We are now working on our next show to be previewed in London and then performed at this year?s Edinburgh Festival in August. This is what we are proposing:

(An) Ephemeral Odyssey

An immense voyage through a world of magic, gods and Greek myth reinvented by ?Best of the Fringe? (Observer 2008) company theatre ad infinitum. One hour. One actor. One man?s epic quest to reunite with his family separated for decades by war, Poseidon?s seas and a multitude of breathtaking adventures.

Fusing music, rhythm and physical storytelling theatre ad infinitum reinvent Homer's classic. The audience find themselves on a journey that will ignite their imagination and awaken their senses; a totally theatrical experience not to be missed.

The company are searching for a space to rehearse that is closer to home. If you or someone you know would be interesting in helping us in some way ?we would love to know. Being a young company in such a tough financial climate we do not have a lot of funding to pay for space, and space is something that theatre creation requires. However, we are willing to perform our show(s) in exchange or help out in other ways where necessary if someone can help by giving us a place ?no matter how small or large ?in which to create our next show.

If you think you can help, know someone who can, or have any small piece of advise, please email [email protected]

Many thanks,

Theatre Ad Infinitum.

    • I’d also recommend Paul for electrical work. He came round the other week to help us out with a handful of jobs (installing an SPD, new light fittings, installing a dimmer switch, a bathroom fan). His quote was cheaper than what I got from others, he turned up on time and he got the job done quickly.
    • We’d like to add our recommendation for Lukasz and team at L&L Building & Maintenance.  Lukasz has recently installed a roof terrace for us, and we’ve found him a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We contacted about a dozen recommended builders and found his quote very competitive. During the build his team delivered quality work, they were no hassle in the house at all and they kept the place tidy every day. The terrace looks great, and we’re very happy customers. What stood out in particular was Lukasz’s responsiveness, right from discussing quotes to follow-up during the build. Lukasz often checked in and was always available when we needed him.  We’ll definitely contact Lukasz again for future building work and we’d happily recommend him to others looking for a reliable builder.   Lukasz Kugaczewski L&L Building & Maintenance 07926651960 [email protected] www.landl-build.com
    • Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
    • What can be done? How about reporting it to the police?
