Fostering a dog

Anyone have any positive stories or experience re this? I'd appreciate a PM. Specifically who you got your dog from and the support given.

I've got the forms for Dog's Trust but they have some negative feedback on their Facebook page and I'm a little worried about applying to them now!

I have met someone a few years ago in Peckham Rye who used to foster dogs for Battersea. Have you tried them?

According to Battersea's website, I have to promise to have the mutt available to be transported, preferably by car, back to them with very little notice. I don't drive and think this is unreasonable tbh

Hi siousxiesue, if you did decide to go with Battersea I would happily help transport the dog back to them for you as I am a dog volunteer there and local to Dulwich. Fostering is such a great thing to do and so many dogs would benefit from it especially from Battersea where there is currently major building works going on, it's incredibly stressful for a lot of the dogs there.
