New Seasonal Yoga classes in Peckham!

Seasonal Yoga is founded on the knowledge that we are a part of nature and therefore part of its changes which allows us to adapt our practice to promote health on every level.

It assists us to cultivate an awareness of these changing energetic states and then how to use them to complement the season we are in, or to adapt to what is going on in the world around us.

About the teacher

I have been practicing yoga for over 14 years and have recently trained to become a Yoga Alliance Certified Seasonal Yoga Teacher. I offer a deeply enriching yoga practice drawing on the many schools of yoga I have practiced since discovering yoga at the age of 12. I was drawn to seasonal yoga for its appreciation of the complete yoga practice including pranayama, meditation and yoga philosophy, whilst the asana practice is always varied adapting to changing needs of the human body as we move through the seasonal year.

I hope you will be able to join me soon :)

    • Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.  That's good of Sainsburys! We've done the apple pie and tart thing, an ongoing muesli thing and the coleslaw thing - just not sure what effect all the sugars are having on our digestive tracts.
    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
    • There's a food bank off Dog Kennel Hill. Albrighton Community Fridge. https://www.albrightoncommunityfridge.org/ I'm sure they would welcome them, but maybe check first, as they don't actually mention fresh fruit on their website? But apples aren't that perishable. Drop off seven days a week 9 - 5. Be warned if you are going by car, parking can be very difficult, easiest if there are two of you so one person can take the food in while the other can move the car if necessary.
    • Food banks for sure and what about approaching these schools in area that run summer camps - although having said that with health and safety being so strict might not allow it - crazy really.    Can’t remember name of church but was one in Peckham that from memory did a community meal a couple of times a week. Now they for sure would take them and probably Kingswood House as well.
