My tech savvy 5 year old (6 in April) has started showing some interest when I'm playing xbox (VERY rare these days), and I was wondering about games for her.

Saw this on Amazon

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Disney-Infinity-2-0-Toybox-Pack/dp/B00MTG1TD0/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1424010705&sr=1-1&keywords=disney+infinity+toybox+merida

Seems to be Disney trying to cash in on the whole Minecraft thing. In theory I think she'd love this (especially as you can buy a separate Elsa to use in the game). But I don't know how hard they are to play, and I wouldn't want it to just frustrate her.

She has ASD, but she is very good at the computer / searching for stuff on the TV / Netflix, and stuff.

Just wondering whether anyone has tried this game and if it's any good?

There are loads of videos on youtube of people playing it. Our 6yr old daughter loves watching them but I am always close by to check the language, nothing too terrible but odd inappropriate exclamation. But you watch it to get a view of the games. Disney Infinity annual 2015 is available in Poundland Peckham.
My son (6 last month) got the marvel version for Christmas, am not sure why you are likening it to Minecraft as I don't see any similarities at all. Having said that I know that he/we have not spent much time playing in the 'toy box' which seems to be the area where you create your own games. The set you have copied a link for only operates in toy box mode. The little we have done in toy box is really very lovely with very good tutorial, wonderful graphics and several characters. I don't think it would be frustrating, addictive maybe!!
You don't have to necessarily take part in missions when they come up, they are stored in a mission log and can be accessed at any time although sometimes 'monsters' may appear they can be engaged in battle or ignored. My son also enjoys just going around using the various characters abilities, some fly, spiderman travels using webs etc. IMO it's a game that can be enjoyed on lots of levels.

"Dilemma" Constantly used to describe any tricky decision, but the definition is a decision with only two options, both of which will have an equally bad outcome.  So a choice of whether to have cake, ice cream or chocolate is NOT A DILEMMA!!! See also "Decimate", which means to reduce by 10%, not just general widespread destruction... 😖
    • So sorry to hear this, makes me so angry that some scumbag thinks they can just take someone's transport, freedom, enjoyment away, and there's so little chance of them being caught or punished adequately.  If you haven't already, register it on BikeRegister and change the status to stolen, hopefully if any responsible person considers buying it then they'll check there first.  Report it to the Police - very little chance they're able to do anything, but it's important for the stats, which may eventually provoke action by the gov? Set up search alerts on Gumtree, eBay & Facebook Marketplace, but try to be as generic as possible - often they are listed as just "road bike" rather than the exact model.  I've also printed out flyers and dropped off at local bike shops in case the bike is brought in for repairs, but not sure how worthwhile that was. Hope this helps...
