Dogsitter / walker required

Hi, we are looking for a dogsitter/walker during the week, to spend some time with our wonderful doggie Millie.

Millie is a staff cross (we have no idea what with) she is an older lady maybe 12ish years old (rescue).

She is not in the best of health suffering from arthiritus, a severe heart mumour and currently is receiving treatment for cancer (terminal) - which means somedays she acts like a puppy, others she just wanted to sleep and get cuddles.

My husband usually works from home, but may be required to work in the office soon until mid April - so we are looking for a friendly dogsitter from now until 21st April (this may be longer term, depending on how it works out)

Details

Monday to Thursday 2.5-3.00hrs per day (Starting no earlier than 12.00, and no later than 2.30pm)

The 2.5-3.00 hours will consist of playing with our dog in our house, with her toys, letting her out for sniffs in the garden, general company and taking her for a 40min walk - (walk dependent on how she is that day), she would prefer not to be walked with other dogs.

Happy to consider individuals or companies

Please drop me a PM or email me on [email protected]

Many Thanks

    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.  Update: I've just found this: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/community-safety/community-wardens The guy in the photo at the bottom of the page was the lovely warden of last night and I've just now remembered him telling me he's based in Burgess Park. Anyway, there needs to be more of them, as I rarely see one in Peckham.
    • Some of us oldies would associate Grove with the old Grove Vale School (which I went to in the 1950s)
